A decorative panel with the pattern of a “Parrot” was created on commission by a private investor. It was developed out of sheer amazement at the historical colour of the pattern. It all started with an armchair whose gilt leather upholstery featuring parrots was already much damaged and with worn out colours. When the client saw the pattern in an album… not only did he order the conservation of the armchair, but also a development of a six-piece work in historic colouring. The panel is mounted on a stretcher bar frame, while its edges are fitted with decorative upholstery nails.
